How much flax litter and wood shavings do you produce each year?
We produce 20,000 tonnes of litter per year, split 50/50 between flax litter and wood shavings. This represents almost 1,000,000 bales of litter per year!
What is the EXPORT share at litiere-cheval.com?
For LINABOX flax bedding, this represents more than 50% of our activity, so we have a lot of experience in exporting, this is explained by the fact that our raw material flax from Normandy is the best in the world! Concerning wood shavings, the export share represents 20%, this sector is developing.
Why is litiere-cheval.com developing so much internationally?
As previously mentioned, the quality of our raw materials in flax and wood produced in Normandy is excellent. It is also because we are constantly making investments allowing maximum compaction of our litter bales which allows us to optimize the loading of trucks and containers! Concerning our Linabox flax bedding factory, we even have a specific packaging unit for loading maritime containers which allows us to load up to 900 bales on pallets in a 40-foot High Cube container.
We have been exporting our litter since 1996, so we have a lot of experience in logistics and administrative monitoring of international sales.

Our FLAX BEDDING – LINABOX® factory is located in Normandy at the heart of textile flax production where the Terre de Lin Cooperative, which brings together 600 farmers, is the world leader with more than 15,000 hectares cultivated.
Wood chip factory - ECOBOX
27210 Boulleville (near Honfleur) – FRANCE
Our WOOD CHIPS – ECOBOX factory is located in one of the largest French planing mills located very close to the Pont de Normandie and the Port of Le Havre, which is the leading French port for maritime container traffic.

As a direct producer of wood shavings and flax bedding, we have a manufacturing activity under private label distributors for both French and foreign wholesalers.
